Phillip Island

The camping trip down to Phillip Island last month spurred the Dawson Five onto organising a short weekend away down to the Island. The house was spectacular but a bit chilly so lots of wood for the Koonara was bought. We also visited the local park and of course caught some waves. The cold weather meant some oppurtunities for indoor fun and what better than the chocolate factory. Whilst it was cold you cant come to the beach without walking in some sand. So we all rugged up and went to the surf beach. Unfortunately it was a bit rainy so we didnt stay long

In the evening we visited the penquins. It was freezing with the onshore breeze. As usual the crowds were huge but we saw loads of birds on the walk back up to the shops. They really are very cute.
The last day we had to visit the pelicans and stingrays and they didnt disapoint.

A week of tap, rack , assess with the S&W 40 caThen into the thick of it back on the road. Nice being close to home so I can pop in from time to time.

Footy Dolphins

Uncle Hugh and Aunty Cath have a visitor with them at the moment, Cousin Richard. He is a really good footy player and is having a run around with the Frankston Dolphins. Dette has fond memories of local footy matches and thought it was a perfect oppurtunity to get along to Casey Oval.

We of course had a pie and a kick on the oval at half time. Great fun.

Royal wedding

Like pretty much most of the TV viewing world we sat down to watch Wills and Kate get married in London. Amelia stayed up to watch and loved all the pomp, but not as much as mum and dad, a few tears shed.
