Amelia's 3rd Birthday

Amelia had her third birthday on Saturday and we all got up pretty early to open her presents, a mixture of pretty clothes, barbie and care bears. She seemed okay and was being very sweet in thanking her brothers for their gifts.
Keeley wasn't all that fussed by the excitement and slept through it all.
Only a few minutes later though and Amelia was being sick and looking and feeling terrible. She was back asleep on mum and dads bed by 9am and missed swimming, ( she must have been unwell).
A visit from Grandma and Grandfa and a movie, (Momma Mia pops!) and she was feeling much better. Her Superwoman outfit was a hit and now she can join in with the others. The next day was the official party and a small gathering of cousins and her bestie from Pelican , Lilly arrived. Dette once again excelled with the cake, which doubled as a barbie gift later!!!!
She had a smashing day and we got to spend most of it outside as the weather obliged. So happy birthday Amelia and thanks from her to everyone for their gifts and thoughts.
I thought i might take advantage of the posting and upload some pictures from the past month or so. I am Australian, as the song goes.
I took the oath last month and am now fair dinkum. The whole family got dresses up and saw me pledge my allegiance. I was quite moved to be honest. This is Marshall and his friend Asstha on the way to the Aquarium for a excursion from Pelican. He had a great day and was fantastic looking after his buddy, however one of his other friends wasn't so kind and hit him on the head with a spade.
And finally , just cos, are some random cute photos, mostly of Keeley by request.

I felt the earth move....

Yep, we felt it in Narre, but it wasn't scary - the windows rattled a bit but it was only like when a big gust of wind comes along. It did however hit 4.6 on the Richter Scale.

Three weeks in

Keeley is now three weeks old and is growing nicely. Dette did have a comment from the maternal health care nurse that she should wake her up to give her more milk. We dont agree, most nights she is going to bed around 10pm and waking up between 5-6. Now there is no way we are disturbing a glorious sleep like that.

Xander is doing really well at school and starts next week doing the full 5 days. He is coming along really well with his readers and pops tit bits of information he learns at school into conversations. ie Yeah Dad , I know about Tasmanian Tigers, they are extinct......

Marshall is growing up and wears a lot of Xanders shoes and clothes now. His art work and spacial awareness are incredible. We are scanning some of his pictures for keep sakes after he goes off for half an hour and comes back with a masterpiece.(look at the numbers mirrored)Amelia is coming up to her third birthday and is still obsessed with everything girly, god bless. She pretty much refuses to wear long pants and loves increasing her smile with lip balm. She loves her little sister and screams, "Keeley Ann" whenever she enters the room.
Nate is getting ever so big and is so hard to pick up now. His words are coming along wih his teeth and he continues to amaze us with how good he is. He is an eating mahcine and sleeps like a trooper. He certainly makes it easy with the new baby as he has taken on a great big brother job. A tip for any future presents, climbing equipment , he is a machine and you have to be on your toes or he will be giggling on the bench or the desk.

I have to go back to work next week after almost three months off. Boo. Not sure how that will go. I am also on half a fitness kick. I have tricked up my bike and got most of the gear. You wait till you see me in Lycra. Lost 2kg too....Dette is still having problems with her veins and is booked in to see a specialist soon.

Grandma is having a three quarter life crisis and has brought a convertable. see below
