Adelaide

Well I'm in Adelaide for a work course and its not too bad. The course is okay and while Adelaide is not a thriving metropolis of interest and intrigue I cant complain as Dette is at home with sick kids. Bit of excitement though, the Aussie Cricket team is staying at the hotel so I had a chat? with Ricky Ponting tonight. Hoping to ingratiate myslef a bit more over brekky tomorrow. Dette is at Xanders school tonight for the parent information session so I'm not happy I missed that and I'm missing home. Sam, I don't know how you do it....

Duck, Duck , Goose ... and Pelican

Sometimes it's the little things that make a good day. We had a fairly boring Saturday with Dad needing to have a few hours sleep during the day because of a nightshift and everyone tired after swimming. So to have a little fun and to get rid of some stale bread we decided a trip to the local duck pond was in order. It's a great spot and really close so theres no excuse for a trip.
Posing for C & A catalogs....... This little fella you just cannot tie down. "If its there I will climb it", is the motto.

Marshall and Xander's writing

Sometimes, whilst all the house is chaos, you will realise, " Where's Marshall?" You search around the house and he can be found at his desk writing. He has really taken to writing his name or copying words down from a book. Xander hasn't up to this point been interested in joining in but seeing Marshall doing a good job has spurred him on. So here are some of Marshall's work and Xander's first real go at writing.
Now, it isnt that obvious but the handwriting at the top is Dettes.

And a picture of his mate Mitchell. We reckon its Edward Scissorhands.
Here is Xander's go, he is keen as mustard now to write stories.

Granfa's Birthday

Well, Grandfa's having another birthday this week and Grandma organised a little lunch for him. We were hoping that Nate would wait until we got to Frankston to have a sleep but he was awake nice and early this morning so had already had one rest before we even headed off.

Once at Frankston, we had a lovely meal of Corned Beef and vegetables ~ the beef was beautiful and the kids polished off every last scrap on their plates, especially Marshall who even asked for more peas and corn. It's lovely knowing that the kids (the boys really because Amelia can still be a bit fussy!) will eat whatever is put in front of them, although they were a little disappointed to start with - Daddy had said it was Grandfa's 'party' so they were expecting chips and lollies!!

After a lovely lunch it was time for a spa. We'd forgotten to take the kids bathers so they all went nuddie ~ thank goodness Grandfa had some shorts for Daddy to borrow!!! Grandma jumped in to help Daddy control the fun, while Grandfa had a rest and Mummy took lots of photos.
