Dawson Sandwich

I've been meaning to record this for a while. If you should be cooking a meal at any time for the amigoes and get asked for a Dawson sandwich. Here is the recipe.

INGREDIENTS

2 slices wholemeal bread
tomato sauce
slice of ham or strass (luncheon meat for englanders)
tomato
cheese

RECIPE

Take the bread and spread tomato sauce on one slice. Place the ham over the sauce and then thinly slice the tomato. Next layer the tomato and cheese on top of the ham and place under a grill till the cheese is melted. Add the other slice of bread to complete the sandwich. Cut into triangles or squares and serve.

Another weekend. We had Charlotte's christening on Saturday and boy was it hot. The children all looked beautiful with suits and one of Dette's old baby dresses. The service was nice but hard work as it was so hot inside and it went for a while. Then we went to the Sandhurst club for a slap up meal. The Greeks certainly know how to throw a party.

On Sunday I worked at the Football doing crowd control. What a cracker of a game with Melbourne Victory winning 6 nil against a bit of a natural enemy, Adelaide.

Well after telling Xander for 2 years, "Stop rocking on that chair youll fall backwards." He did. Well he wasnt rocking back, just pushing his chair to get out but he fell some 3 feet onto his head and got the worlds biggest lump. Hes as right as rain now though.

Another normal weekend at Narre. Swimming lessons in the morning. The boys are doing very well and Amelia is starting to love the water. Then a snooze and we all watched a Lassie movie. At one point Lassie joins the Army and Xander says, "Why is the dog joining the Barmy Army."

Then off to the park for a play.

Another stinking hot day here. Dette is back at work and things are returning to normal after the school holidays. Mum and Dad are back from the UK and have been crook with the flu. Getting better now though. Amelia is a crawling, standing and shuffling machine. She just follows the boys around the house till they stop for a few minutes.

A note to our Frank, Mum says you love the blog. We will try to update more for you. Thinking of you and all back home. PS. Click on "0 comments" and leave a comment, we love feedback.
