Number 5

Well, had the 20 week scan today and things are going great. Xander and Marshall had to come with me and were perfect angels while i was on the table with goo all over my tummy. They weren't too impressed with the images of their little brother/sister though...Xander said the baby looked like a monster!! All measurements are perfect and our date for early February has been confirmed.

So, halfway there, for the last time!! Once this little addition is out and about Daddy will be having the snip-a-roo and I'll be getting the enormous veins ripped out of my legs - who knows, i might one day wear shorts and skirts again!!!!!

Here's a pic of #5, not that it's too brilliant - the little (or 'lit-al' as Xander has started to say, trying to imitate Daddy!!) bugger was more than comfortable lying facedown and wouldn't move for a couple of happy snaps!

Ticking off those "to do" boxes

I was supposed to be working at the Supercars at Phillip Island this weekend but didn't, (long story involving union bans) so ended up doing jobs around the house. Helped a mate move house on Saturday, worst job in the world but satisfying when you see it all in the new place. On Sunday Marty and the girls came over and I finally installed the pool fence at the end of the garden.

I have had the materials sitting there for months and the bags of concrete slowly going hard. Marty helped heaps with his skills and I was the bumbling apprentice (Donald Trump would surely fire me). So we now have the ability to fence Ruben round the back whilst the kids play and it just makes the new "grass" a much nicer area. More importantly I got to tick off the job on my igoogle page which has been haunting me for ages.

Nate's 1st birthday party

The weather was on song again for Nate's first birthday party. A small gathering spent a lovely afternoon in the back garden. Thank you all for Nathaniel's presents and good wishes

The red food dye failed Dette on the day, so it is Pink Elmo this year.

In the park

The last few days have been beautiful spring weather so we took advantage and wandered over to the park. Nate has been sick with tonsilitis but enjoyed his time out.

Exercise kick.

It is that time again to get my exercise kick going. In Jan this year I lost 5 kilos in two weeks and was consistantly running 4-5km a day. Loads of good and not so good excuses later I stopped and all that fitness disapeared.

So back to it now. I have purcashed a couple of toys to make it more fun too and work has just introduced a new fitness policy. I can go for a 30 run or to the gym on work time. So there is no excuse really. So here we go.

I have updated my pushie too. I have spent ages looking at bikes speaking to friends and shop owners and finally got sick of it all and splashed out. Cool radial disc brakes, Shimano gears and SRAM stuff (very cool im told)
