Rockstar

Dette was getting ready to goto School with morning TV in the background when Pink cam on with her new song. Mesmerised is the only word and Xander and Marshall have their first favourite band. Xander now recognises Pink everywhere and wants to be a Rockstar called Dark Blue......

A shocking night with Nate last night. He is just being really funny about going back down to sleep when its dark. During the day he will sleep easy but at night its as if he doesnt want to miss out. Amelia woke up vomiting too so its been an interesting weekend. Dette , Xander and Marshall are off to Mark and Tim's for a BBQ and we are watching the Fairies.

More parties.....

It's a blog cliché but it was a very busy weekend. On Saturday Marshall had his official birthday party with a few chums and cousins. It was well timed as Fran, Craig and the kids were over from Perth. It was hot and sunny and everyone had a great time. The new garden area with the artificial turf and gate mean the kids can have fun a lot easier and less messy.
On Sunday we had a BBQ at Caths with the whole family. It's not often all together at the same time so there the Musketeers had lots of cousins of all ages to play with. A quick dip in the pool and all kids asleep in the car within minutes.

Busy Bee

With Spring upon us a working bee was organised to help Gran sort out the garage and tidy up some jobs she has had outstanding. The children helped by building a rocket and going sailing.

On Sunday I went down to Phillip Island on the back of Fozzy's bike for the MotoGP. The weather was a typical spring day with bright sunshine and blue skies. I had to get the bike gear out of the shed and a leisurely cruise down to the Island. Well that was the plan. As we hit the bridge a bike pulled along side and started waving frantically at the back of the bike.
Now communication is not a strong one between bikes, the nod is the main form, so we quickly pulled over and found a flat. No wonder everything felt a bit wobbly through the last corner. A quick trip to the servo for air and plodding along for 5kms till we found a mechanic. A lovely chat with this bloke whilst he plugged the hole and back on the road, albeit a bit gingerly. The island was packed with some beautiful bikes getting around. We took up our spot at MG corner and enjoyed the racing. One of the highlights though was a trials display, these guys are nuts.

Casey Stoner did it again for the Aussies but the 12th to 2nd run of Dawson favourite , Valentino Rossi , was a highlight.

Visitors and a trip to the park.

On Wednesday we had visitors when Rose and Gwynn and Mum and Dad came over for dinner. It was good to see them and the children made freinds right away. The rule in the Dawson house is , "visitors read the stories" , and Gwynn did a smashing job.

Then on Friday the sun came out and Dette needed a way to get rid of a bit of pent up energy. A phone call to Mitch and Alicia and a trip to the big park was on. Fortunately Dette took the good camera and has taken some cracking shots.
