The camping trip down to Phillip Island last month spurred the Dawson Five onto organising a short weekend away down to the Island. The house was spectacular but a bit chilly so lots of wood for the Koonara was bought.

We also visited the local park and of course caught some waves.

The cold weather meant some oppurtunities for indoor fun and what better than the chocolate factory.

Whilst it was cold you cant come to the beach without walking in some sand. So we all rugged up and went to the surf beach. Unfortunately it was a bit rainy so we didnt stay long

In the evening we visited the penquins. It was freezing with the onshore breeze. As usual the crowds were huge but we saw loads of birds on the walk back up to the shops. They really are very cute.

The last day we had to visit the pelicans and stingrays and they didnt disapoint.
