Lakes Entrance

Summer holidays are here again and the trailer was packed up with bikes and scooters and off we set to Lakes Entrance. This is our second trip to the holiday house and we had a pleasant drive down with a couple of movies and a stop for a run about. After unpacking the kids met the other children playing out the front and a week long biking and scooting friendship was born.
We spent the first day on the bikes riding into town and doing a little bit of window shopping. Keeley was the only one not on her own transport and it got it a bit much as she fell asleep on the last leg.

The weather wasn’t perfect for a couple of days with overnight rain and cloudy muggy days so we spent some time at the local pool, the boys love being independent and swimming for themselves. We also visited the "fish museum", a shell and sea life shop with a a little exhibition around the back. The kids love it and it’s a necessity in Lakes. After this a water fight broke out with two of the kids next door.

A stroll around over the bridge and and then out for tea at the pub. Great tucker and very well behaved children.
There is a bit of a tradition of op shop buying whilst on Dawson family holidays and they didn't let us down this time. Everyone got some stuff including mums "stick" books.
Mum had a order for a wedding cake so had to go home for a day on Thursday so she dropped us off at the beach for a play. We caught some tiddlers and everyone loved a splash around. The next morning we walked over to the pool in the rain , its only a short walk, for a splash around.

The last full day brought about the hot weather and another day on the beach. Classic beach day with fishing, swimming and a trip out on the pedalos. We all caught a bit of the sun with Dad getting a nice red back!!!
