On Sunday I went down to Phillip Island on the back of Fozzy's bike for the MotoGP. The weather was a typical spring day with bright sunshine and blue skies. I had to get the bike gear out of the shed and a leisurely cruise down to the Island. Well that was the plan. As we hit the bridge a bike pulled along side and started waving frantically at the back of the bike.
Now communication is not a strong one between bikes, the nod is the main form, so we quickly pulled over and found a flat. No wonder everything felt a bit wobbly through the last corner. A quick trip to the servo for air and plodding along for 5kms till we found a mechanic. A lovely chat with this bloke whilst he plugged the hole and back on the road, albeit a bit gingerly.
The island was packed with some beautiful bikes getting around. We took up our spot at MG corner and enjoyed the racing. One of the highlights though was a trials display, these guys are nuts.
Casey Stoner did it again for the Aussies but the 12th to 2nd run of Dawson favourite , Valentino Rossi , was a highlight.

I can see why the trip to Philip Island is a permanent fixture in the diary - looks great
