Day 2
The Three Amigos shared a room last night and all three went off to sleep without a problem - might have had something to do with the 4:30am wake-up call and minimal sleep during the day!
Amelia was first up this morning, at 6am, followed closely by Marshall and finally Xander. We had a busy morning – breakfast in our room followed by a quick visit to the local strip to check out the shops. Can’t believe we flew all the way to Queensland and had to buy an umbrella!! Then it was off to the place we’ve all been looking forward to… MOVIEWORLD!
The kids were great, and everything started off well. As soon as we walked in the gate we saw the Scooby Gang, followed quickly by Batman and his amazing Jet Car. Don’t know who was more impressed – the boys or Richard!

Things went a little downhill when it started to rain, and then Amelia vomited all over herself – twice! The poor thing was not very happy but put on a brave face, (hard to do when you smell of vomit!), and waited with Mummy while the boys ran from the exit of Bugs Bunny’s Wild Water ride straight back to the queue time after time. I wasn’t allowed in (baby) but finally got a chance to escape the stench with the Shrek Live show. The boys loved watching Shrek and Donkey sing and dance.

We were all surprised when both Xander and Marshall went on the Road Runner roller coaster, which, quite honestly, would have had Mummy scared! Xander even went on twice, the second time he and Richard ended up in the front seat!!!!!! Xander loved it, but Marshall, although very brave to go on, wasn’t up for a second spin around the tracks!
We also had a fantastic position for the Parade of Stars, and got to see all our favourites. The highlight was meeting Wonder Woman (who also doubled as a dancer who saw Amelia’s first vomit) and hearing that Amelia’s condition had been the talk of Movie World! Nice to know we made such a good impression!
Richard got to have one turn on “an adult ride” – the Superman Escape. After waiting for over 30 minutes his 45 seconds of 4G action was worth it! He came off looking a little wobbly on his feet, but would have been straight back on it if we had the time!
After spending 5 hours at Movie World it was back to our hotel to have a quick and easy cheesy mac dinner, followed by a Polynesian Dance Show down beside the pool. The idea was to drag the children down to occupy half an hour before bed time, but it was fantastic! Xander and Marshall (and Richard by default) even got involved by going up to learn how to do a dance. Marshall and Richard were ok, but Xander was FANTASTIC! He was in the front row and got a few laughs as he tried his very hardest to copy the moves. We were very proud! Amelia even perked up enough to clap – in time mind you – to an entire dance routine, earning the respect of a woman beside us!

Once again they’re sound asleep, and Richard and I are waiting for a reasonable time to go to bed! We’re exhausted – but afraid to go to sleep this early in case we get labeled as…OLD!!!
