I'm in a Band

On Wednesday night we all went out to see Die Roten Punkte, with Otto and Astrid. It was a late birthday dinner for dad and then onto the show at the Speigeltent.

The show was a launch for the new album , "Kunst Rock" and so featured some new tunes. There were many highlights in a hilarious and rock filled night. But the trump card was Otto pushing three little bimbos out of the way to speak to Dette and Dee. Their groupie days are not over.

Quiet weekend

The weekend started with Xander and Marshall having their first Kumute (sparring) lesson at Karate. It's all a bit whirling dirvish but occassionally some technique slips through. It has rejuvinated Marshall's interest in Karate and they loved moulding there mouth gaurds to thier teeth. Mum had a massage on Thursday night and a night out with her school chums on Friday, the dirty stop out...

On Saturday Marshall had a day over at his mates Calebs house with a trip to the park and Maccas. We all had a quiet day inside , lots of cleaning and some movies.

Sunday was not much different with an afternoon Dawson Cinema session of Tangled before tea.

A year.

Well its been a year now since we lost Dad. As the last post said, time does fly and we miss him just as much today as 364 days ago. Love you Dad..

Keeley is Two

Time really does fly and so with that we are now celebrating Keeley's second birthday. A small family gathering, i know impossible, was held and Keeley had a smashing day and was lucky to get some fantastic gifts. She loved playing with all her cousins inside and out.



Another classic Cobblestone Cake. This time, one layer choc and the other caramel mud cakes with a small Toy Story character on top. YUM

Floods

Queensland just experienced Cyclone YASI, and had devasting floods and weather. Being Mexicans we dont have to worry about all that nonsense, or do we. Last night and this morning we got the after effects of the cyclone and 200mm of rain in an hour or so. Whilst the gutters were overflowing and a bit of water in the garage we didnt really have too much to worry about. In the morning on the way to swimming it was clear we were lucky we had our bathers. The park we play at down the road had overflowed and flooded the bottom of our street. Also the major arterial down from Narre Warren was impassable. So a "fun" morning was had wading through the floods and looking at the new Narre South Lake.

And tonight it was a recce to figure out how to get the kids to school. Most roads north are still flooded so its a hike round through Berwick to get to Don Bosco. Fingers crossed that the classrooms didnt flood like last year..
