Goodbye Ruben

On Tuesday afternoon we discovered that Ruben the dog had passed away sleeping in the back garden. It appears he had twisted bowel, a common problem in big dogs. The kids were obviously upset and the enduring image is of Nate at the fly screen as they are carrying him out. "ooben, ooben....."

So heres to a fantastic dog and good mate for all the family.

Catch Up

Whilst its only been a couple of weeks lots seems to happen with the Famous Five and an update is definitely required. In the course of speed the pictures might not be in order, ive been having some dramas with ie8.

First off some Keeley snaps and updates. She is now havgin solids and is 99 percent weaned. She is also in a cot in her own room and although the first night was a long one she seems to like the extra space. Her strength is improving a lot and she sits up in her bumbo a bit and plays now.

This is Xander rock climbing at Anaconda store at Fountain Gate. He has asked to do it for ages but you have to be 6. So as per agreement we went for a go recently. He did really well and we were particulary proud that when he got a bit scared, very high, he calmly asked for help and winched down. Looks like this might become a bit of a pastime.
We have had some cracking storms in the past few weeks and woke up to this the other day. It appears it was a lightning strike. Not happy it will be replaced with a sapling!!Here a few photos from some outdoor play the other day. Marshall has taken to hunting for insects. Whilst fun we have to keep a good eye as there are a few red backs around.

Thanks Walmley Dawsons for Nates footy strip. As you can see here he has taken to it by getting a cliche tattoo as well... He is quite the sprinter now as Dette found out recently when he took off from Pelican (creche) and onto the road. A mad woman running after him in high heels and 2 hours of heart palpitations later and everything is okay. Stubborn little sausage he is.

Keeley in bed, sorry out of order..
And just a final photo, i cant resist, of my man Freddie.

Maddison's farewell

Mad flys out to LA next week so we had a farewell at Caths. Marshall dominates the photos here as the others were exploring inside most of the time.

It wasnt long ago that Xander and Marshall were wearing these jammies
Our local Anaconda sports store has a climbing wall inside and we have promised Xander he can have a go when he turned 6, so here he is. He did very well and calmly said he wanted to get down when it got a bit high. PS, yes he is in his school uniform!!!
