Keeley is Two

Time really does fly and so with that we are now celebrating Keeley's second birthday. A small family gathering, i know impossible, was held and Keeley had a smashing day and was lucky to get some fantastic gifts. She loved playing with all her cousins inside and out.

Another classic Cobblestone Cake. This time, one layer choc and the other caramel mud cakes with a small Toy Story character on top. YUM

Floods

Queensland just experienced Cyclone YASI, and had devasting floods and weather. Being Mexicans we dont have to worry about all that nonsense, or do we. Last night and this morning we got the after effects of the cyclone and 200mm of rain in an hour or so. Whilst the gutters were overflowing and a bit of water in the garage we didnt really have too much to worry about. In the morning on the way to swimming it was clear we were lucky we had our bathers. The park we play at down the road had overflowed and flooded the bottom of our street. Also the major arterial down from Narre Warren was impassable. So a "fun" morning was had wading through the floods and looking at the new Narre South Lake.
And tonight it was a recce to figure out how to get the kids to school. Most roads north are still flooded so its a hike round through Berwick to get to Don Bosco. Fingers crossed that the classrooms didnt flood like last year..

Nassa - Wassa Road, still flooded at 8.00pm on the Sunday, 2 days after the rain.

Climbing

Anaconda has a strict 6 years old and 21 kilos on its climbing wall. Last year when Xander turned 6 we went after school for a climb. Now it was Marshall's turn and he was very excited.
Dad is back on leave!! YAY.... Amelia starts at school full time next week but she will be having Wednesdays off so she will be spending the day with Dad.

Another one bites the dust

It couldn't come quick enough for Amelia but today was her first day of prep. She was so excited bouncing around the house the night before. The whole family went in and after dropping off the boys Amelia found her spot and started playing.
Quick goodbye and we have a school girl!
Her teacher seems really nice and her big brothers have promised to look after her.

Heat Wave

The past few days have hit the 40 degree mark and of course they have conincided with us all going back to work or school. Amelia is getting more and more excited as Thursday draws near and Mum and Dad will just be relieved when we dont have to think of any more things to keep them all entertained.
