Creche Christmas Concert

Yesterday we attended the first in what im sure will be a very long list of childrens concerts . It was the creche Christmas concert and Xander and Marshall both performed a song. The weather was perfect and hot for a BBQ and the kids loved running around with their friends until Santa came later. Marshall and Xander were very patient as it seemed theirs was the last present in his sack!!!

Funny Conversation

Conversation in car on the way to get a curry. Dad reversing out of driveway currently not wearing his seatbelt.

Xander : " Daddy, you havent got your seatbelt on"
Daddy - "I'm putting it on now mate"
Xander - "If you dont put it on you'll get in trouble with a policeman."

Marshall - "But daddy is a policeman."
Xander - "Well he better tell himself off then."

Marshall - "I want to be a policeman."

First Christmas Party

With the Festive season right upon us we had our first Christmas dinner party on Saturday night. Dee, Mark, Tim, Michelle, Mark and baby Lachlan turned up for our annual get together with very full hands. We have a Kris Kringle and inevitably the musketeers get spoilt silly. We all choose a course to present and everyone outdid themselves as there were plenty of full bellies.
The highlight however was the premiere of "Dragons - The Musical" . I wont say too much as I am going to youtube it but Dette and her chums starred in this high school musical in 1991. Lots of spandex and crap singing!!!!! Must see TV . Stand by.

PS . Nate slept till 7.27 the other morning. He is slowly getting the hang of it.

Carols at the Academy

Christmas is quickly approaching and to get in the festive spirit we went along to the Academy for Christmas Carols. The Aussie Welsh Male Voice Choir and the police band were there to help us belt out a few classics.

Most if not all musketeer bloggers should know the Academy's beautiful chapel and it certainly looked spectacular with clever lighting and decorations. The Musketeers, whilst enjoying the general ambiance, didn't quite get into the singing until Santa arrived. They got to have a quick word as he came in the front doors and then a sing along with him. A good night and not too late to bed.
The amigos though had better be careful when planning the letters to Santa. We decided to make our own advent calender with chocolates for each day. The ground rules were firmly reinforced but the next morning you would think that it was the 24th December. Only one chocy!!! Lets just say they are now being good to make it up to the Fat Man.

PS. A couple of gratuitous photos of Nate and Mummy. Cos we can!
PPS. Amelia is now counting "one, two, tree"!
