Amelia is crawling! She started with a few small "steps" on the weekend and then she was off. We now have to chase her around as she follows the boys everywhere. It has been stinking hot here for the past two days, with a top of 42 yesterday. The bushfires burnt the main electricity supply so most of the state was without power too. It was a great equalizer as all the air-conditioners and coolers switched off. We all sat in an inch of cold water in a pool in the garden. Sleep, as always, is an issue and it took a while for all of us to get off to sleep, but all three up at 6am. ARGGHH.

We had a lovely day today at the Queen Victoria Market. It's been ages since we have been so we packed the car up and set the sat nav. As always it was bustling with people and has a great atmosphere. We had Marshall and Xander plaques made up to put on the boys bikes and then a stroll around the stalls. Some great bargains to be had but we couldn't resist the sketch artist. He drew Dette and I on our wedding anniversary 3 years ago and this time it was the amigos turn. They sat well as models and here is the result. A great day out in lovely 22 degree sunny weather.

If you can't remember , here is the other one.

A break in the weather. It's been stinking hot here for the past week or so and today the cold change finally came with some rain. We are now in stage 3 water restrictions so no washing your car at all (except at a servo) and watering the garden only on certain days. Dette is into it, recycling the washing machine water and we have a bucket in the shower to save some h2o for the garden. You are not allowed to fill new pools either so i will shelve the spa/pool plans. Christmas tree down today and a bit of a sort out. We are getting a new family member today.
More to come!!!!

NYE 2006
Well another year gone and signing off for this years blog. We went to a party at Dee's house with Mark and Tim and some other freinds. The boys had a smashing time playing cricket, cars and running around with the other children. Come 11pm they were still full of beans but hitting the wall. Amelia was still up too but fighting it, so we went home and got them into bed at about 11.15. We stayed up and watched the fireworks into the new year.
The boys made us so proud again with their manners and they way they played with the other children. On a side note Tim brought Crocodile steaks for the bbq. Tastes a bit like pork, Steve Irwin will be rotating as we speak.
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL
